At El Paso City University, there are three masters degrees available for students.
Master of Arts:
Creative writing
*Students must compose a minimum of 120 pages (12, double spaced) on any topic. Students must also be enrolled for at least one year. This one is geared toward students who favor creative projects, such as novelism, playwriting, screenwriting, etc.
Master of Arts:
English Composition
*Students must compose a minimum of 150 pages (12, double spaced) on any topic. Students must also be enrolled for at least one year. This one is geared toward students who favor subjects such as technical writing, history, social science writing, nonfiction, etc.
Master of Arts:
Media Studies
*Students must compose a portfolio of media and writing achievements. Length and topics must be discussed with an adviser. Students must be enrolled for at least one year. This one is geared toward those who have interests in film-making, podcasts, radio, television, and other forms of non-written media.
